Privacy notice of the QUALILAKK Testing Laboratory operated by Festékipari Kutató Kft. for website visitors, prospective clients and clients.

2. Data processed, purpose and legal basis

2.1. Inquiries and requests for quotation

Data processed: name, company (optional), e-mail address, phone number (optional), selected topic, message text, submission time and selected language (Hungarian/English).

Purpose: responding to your inquiry, technical consultation, preparing a quotation and preparing the conclusion of a contract. An automatic confirmation is sent to the e-mail address provided.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract) and the consent given when submitting the form (Article 6(1)(a)).

2.2. Website visits and IT security

Data processed: IP address, time of visit, browser and operating system type, pages viewed.

Purpose: secure and stable operation of the website, preventing abuse and attacks.

Legal basis: legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies and local storage

The website uses Google Consent Mode v2: statistical measurement is disabled by default and starts only after explicit consent.

3.1. Strictly necessary cookies and settings

qualilakk.consent.v1 (local storage): stores your cookie preferences until browser storage is cleared.

Technical cookies of the hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) protect and deliver the website.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and applicable electronic communications rules.

3.2. Statistics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

Provider: Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Measurement ID: G-TR7K6VT50L.

Cookies: _ga, _ga_<id> (lifetime up to 2 years).

Purpose: aggregated visitor and usage statistics to improve the website.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3.3. Changing your consent

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

4. Retention periods

  • Inquiries and requests for quotation: if no order follows, for up to 5 years from closing the inquiry (the general limitation period under the Hungarian Civil Code), or until consent is withdrawn.
  • Orders: in line with Section 16 of the General Terms and Conditions, test reports and records are kept for at least 5 years; accounting records for 8 years as required by accounting law.
  • Statistical data: in aggregated form, according to Google Analytics retention settings.

5. Data processors

Your data is handled confidentially and is never sold to third parties. We use the following processors:

  • Hosting and security infrastructure: Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA – EU standard contractual clauses and Data Privacy Framework).
  • E-mail delivery and confirmation: Resend, Inc. (2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA) – solely for relaying form messages and the confirmation e-mail.
  • Web analytics (with consent): Google Ireland Limited.

In line with Section 12 of the General Terms and Conditions, data and information obtained in connection with an order are treated as confidential.

6. Your rights

  • information and access;
  • rectification;
  • erasure ("right to be forgotten");
  • restriction of processing;
  • data portability;
  • objection to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
